Wednesday, April 29, 2015 2:19am  Engine 1 and Rescue 1 responded to a Motorvehicle crash. Where an SUV struck a utility pole and overturned.

Tuesday, April 21, 2015 21:19  Leonia Field Comm. Unit and Ladder 1 where dispatched mutual Aid to a 3 Alarm Fire on Oakdene ave.

     



 

2 Alarm Fire Palisades Park

Thursday, March 26, 2015  Leonia Ladder responded mutual aid to 9th St. And East Palisades as a Fast team. Leonia's Crew was reassigned and went to work opening up. Lt. Quinton backing the ladder down 9th from East Edsall was able to get the Ladder to the roof.

Structure Fire

Monday, June 4, 2012  At 09:08 hours the Fire Department was dispatched for smoke coming from a building at the intersection of Broad Ave and Elm Pl. County Communications quickly re dispatched the Fire Department, confirming a structure fire at 300 Elm Place, a 3 story occupied multiple dwelling. Engine 1, staffed with only 3 firefighters, quickly responded and stretched an attack line to the 2nd floor where one apartment's kitchen was on fire. The aggressive actions of these firefighters quickly extinguished the fire. In addition to Engine 1, Ladder 1 and Rescue 1 also responded. Mutual aid assistance was received from Fort Lee Ladder 1 and Englewood Engine 1. The Fire Department operated for approximately 4 hours.
 

     

 

MVC Jones Rd. and Grandview

Friday, April 13, 2012  At 17:06 the Fire department was dispatched to at motor vehicle crash. Engine 1, Rescue 1 arrived on scene to find that a small dump truck had struck a utility pole and was leaking fluids in the roadway. Companies went to work securing the trucks battery and cleaning the fluid spill. No injuries were reported.

     

 

Englewood 3rd Alarm

Monday, April 9, 2012  At 00:57 hours while companies were operating at an incident involving a tree on wires, the Fire Department was dispatched to respond with an engine to standby at Englewood Fire Headquarters. Engine 1 responded to EFD headquarters and stood by for a short time before being summoned to he scene as a 3rd alarm was transmitted. Engine 1's crew was assigned to the rear of the building to assist in extinguishing the fire. Engine 1 returned to Leonia at approximately 03:30 hours.


   


 

Fort Lee 4th Alarm

Thursday, March 29, 2012 15:21 Rescue 1 was requested to respond mutual aid to 494 West St. Fort Lee as a FAST team. In addition to Rescue 1, LE-7 also responded. Upon arrival members of Rescue 1 were assigned to standby in front of the fire building, which was a 3 story townhouse. As fire conditions continued to deteriorate, Rescue 1 was put to work in the adjacent townhouse. Members worked in conjunction with other mutual aid companies and successfully held the fire from extending to a third unit. Rescue 1 returned to quarters at approximately 1800 hrs.
